Special Forces Veteran | UN Programme Director
Col. Kavil Mohan is a decorated Special Forces veteran with 28 years of service across India and global conflict zones, including six years in senior roles with the United Nations. He brings unmatched expertise in geo-strategy, South Asian conflict analysis, and global security operations to IIRIS.
Post-retirement, he served as Security Head at Accenture and Global Security Head at WIPRO, where he designed enterprise-wide security, risk, and continuity frameworks. In the UN, he led disarmament and reintegration programmes in Afghanistan, successfully disbanding 900 illegal armed groups.
He is a recipient of four major decorations, including the Vir Chakra, India’s third-highest gallantry award, and Afghanistan’s highest civilian honour to a foreigner for peace efforts.
